Accreditation and Affiliation

Accredited by Uganda National Council for Higher Education (NCHE)

The African College of Commerce and Technology is accredited by the National Council for Higher Education as an institution of higher learning in Uganda. ACCT is therefore a recognized institution and mandated by the government of Uganda to teach, examine and award its students diplomas and certificates which are by law recognized for employment, upgrading to university and other professional studies.

Affiliated to Makerere University Business School (MUBS)

The African College of Commerce and Technology is affiliated to Makerere University Business School for certificates and diploma programs in the areas of business, accounting and management. The affiliation enables the training to be conducted at ACCT campus while the examinations and awards are given by Makerere University Business School.

Affiliated to Kyambogo University

ACCT is also affiliated to Kyambogo University for a diploma of Instructor in Technical Teacher Education (DITTE). The specializations are Civil Engineering, Tailoring and Garmet Cutting, Agriculture, Turning on the Lathe and Shoe Making. Target groups are people who have already completed a certificate in Engineering and also instructors in vocational institutions.

Uganda Business and Technical Examination Board (UBTEB)

For the award of certificates and diplomas ACCT has the Uganda Business and Technical Examination Board center numbers UBB193 and UBT300. Under this arrangement the training is done at ACCT while the examinations and award ceremonies are held by the Uganda Business and Technical Examination Board.

Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT)

The African College of Commerce and Technology has the Competence Assessment Center number UVQF221 for the Uganda Qualification Framework (UVQF) of the Directorate of Industrial Training.
