African College of Commerce and Technology – ACCT was established as an Educational Training Institution established on 14th April 1986 to impact skills in Technical and Vocational Education and Training – TVET at Certificate and Diploma Levels.

ACCT Is accredited by Uganda National Examinations Board UBTEB for Technical Education and Training at Certificate and Diploma Levels and Directorate of Industrial Training for Vocational competence assessment
ACCT Business Incubation Centers
BICs were established to boost the
students practical training, industrial and apprenticeship training and real life projects and production.

African College of Commerce & Technology was then registered by Ministry of Education and Sports in June 1986. Registration Certificate No. PCS/A/13
Licenced and Accredited by the National Council for Higher Education as an Institution of Higher Learning in Uganda since 2007. This is in accordance with the Universities and other Tertiary Institutions Act 2001 Sections 112, 113, 114, 115, and 116. Certificate of Registration and Classification No. TL C&R 0008.
